Do you know anyone who is living debt free now?
Me cause when I sold my house (after my BF and me split), I took the money and pay off EVERYTHING on my credit report.
Now I only owe my month-to-month living expenses

My mum. No mortgage, no credit cards.

Other than what I will be billed for utilities this month and what is on the charge card that is paid monthly, I am out of debt.
If you mean I never have to pay for anything, then I think that is not possible unless you are willing to do without an awful lot of what most people would consider needed items.
Then you'd have to live on the street, bum, do soup kitchens and all types of charities. Then living day to day becomes your job.
Same applies to a sister and her husband, an older brother, my mom and a couple of aunts and an uncle. This doesn't count some friends and others.

Ya got me.
I'm not yachting the Pacific yet, but I'm living debt free. Only the usual monthly utilities and rent.
Anyone who owns a home – even one paid off, owes taxes on that house. I can move out in a heartbeat and owe nothing. A homeowner cannot.

Yes I am. I chucked my credit cards 20 years ago and gave up the dream of owning a money sucking home and have not looked back since. Keep in mind, own a home and you still have to pay taxes on it. Rent, and you can walk away. Home you are stuck with, rent and you're not stuck.
It is amazing how much more disposable income I had when I chose to no longer pay interest.
Peace
Jim

Yes, me and my husband.
We paid our mortgage off 8 years ago, have no credit cards, and we own our car, and I am thankful for the position we are in. I would not like to be having to try now to set up a home etc with the precarious state of the economy, job insecurity and so forth, but I have two teenage children and am concerned for their futures and hope to be in a position to help them when they need it.
